Many AI tools are available to generate AI images, such as Leonardo AI, Midjourney Ai, Ideogram, Gemini 2.0 flash, Dall-e, and many more, each has its features and quality, In this post, I will share prompts to create AI images with LeonardoAI, You can use these prompts in any other AI tools, You may get different results with these prompts, So let’s get started with understanding Leonardo, If you already have a basic understanding about Leonardo interface then you can scroll directly to prompts section.

What is Leonardo AI?

Leonardo Ai is a text-to-image generative AI tool, that allows you to create images, illustrations, and artworks with simple text prompts. Input your description for the image, artwork style, and other details and it will generate various options based on the description you provide to it. Leonardo AI offers its users 150 credits every day for free image generation, for more images you can purchase a paid plan.

How to write a prompt?

You can follow these structures to write a prompt for image generation, for each image you can edit and replace the details in these.

Prompt structure- [ Description + subject + style + context ] 

Advanced prompt-  [ Description + subject + style + context + color palette + lighting + camera details + other details if any ]

• Prompts for book cover design
• Prompts for interior design

It is not necessary to fill in all the details, based on the image you can replace the details, remove or add details. For example, if you need a children’s book illustration image then you don’t need to add lighting, camera details, etc. 

Negative prompt- to exclude things from the image, or things that you don’t want in the image, you can write in a negative prompt, and Leonardo will exclude those details from the image.

Features of Leonardo AI

Leonardo has many creative features for creating artwork, Let’s understand what are the features and how they work.

1- Text-to-image

The text-to-image feature allows you to create images and artwork with simple text prompts. It has many pre-trained models available. You can choose any model to create images. 

2- Image to image

Image to image feature allows you to create an image by taking reference of any other image and it copies the style of the image to generate new images, you can control the intensity of reference, plus you can write descriptions of further details for new images.

3- Image to motion

If you want to animate your images or want motion effects, then you can try the image-to-motion feature, it transforms a still image into a beautiful motion video that can be used for ad creatives, reels, Pinterest pins, presentation backgrounds, website backgrounds or any other purposes.

4- Realtime canvas

With a real-time canvas feature, you can turn your sketches or drawings into beautiful artworks in real time, once you are satisfied with the results you can save or download the image.

5- Realtime generation

Similar to real-time canvas this feature also creates images instantly but this works with text prompts instead of drawing, you can choose different styles to create artwork and upscale the final output.

6- Canvas editor

Once you complete your artwork or if you want to edit, add, or remove any elements in existing artwork then you can use canvas editor to add or remove details from specific areas.

7- Flow State

Flow state is an advanced feature, recently updated by Leonardo Ai. This feature allows you to create different style images with a single prompt, No more writing long, detailed prompts for different styles. Flow state creates multiple styles of images with a single prompt, and you can select the style that you like. You can control shot type, lighting type, and camera angle for the images.

You can create consistent style artwork using flow state, and generate any image, You will see “More Like This” on the image bottom area, click on it, and it will generate more images in the same style. You can use this feature to create video clips, short stories, book story visuals, or brand designs.

8- Content reference

Content reference is a cool feature to generate variations of any image without changing the composition of your images. You can access it in classic mode, select flux or Phoenix preset, select image guidance and select content reference, upload your image, and write the prompt to generate it in different styles. You can control the settings for more creative output.
